2002. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO: 7662-02 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION recognizing designating Sarah Nelson as "Lakewood First Dog" for <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Dogs in Lakewood play an important role in improving the quality of life for <br />many of Lakewood's residents; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Sarah Nelson has distinguished herself by helping to address the geese <br />problem that existed at Lakewood Park; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Sarah Nelson has befi-iended many of the area's elected officials, showing <br />them affection and caring, cheering them during hard times; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Sarah Nelson through her owner Geraldine Nelson has agreed to fiflfill the <br />ceremonial responsibilities of Lakewood's First Dog by participating the 2002 Lakewood Fourth <br />of July parade; now therefore, <br /> <br /> BE tT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this City-Council of Lakewood Designate Sarah Nelson as Lakewood's <br />Top Dog. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this resolution to Geraldine Nelson. Sarah's owner who has agreed to <br />assure Sarah's participation in the 2002 Lakewood Fourth of July Parade, and that a copy be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />President <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
