RESOLUTION NO. 7686-02 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Dumm, FitzGerald, <br />George, Roth, Seelie, Skindell. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize retidng police officer Thomas E. Reece on <br />the occasion of his retirement from the City of Lakewood, Division of Police. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas Reece was sworn in as a patrol officer on November <br />23, 1975; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas Reece served in the Navy from 1970-1974 as an <br />operational specialist and earned an associates degree in law enforcement after <br />leaving the Navy; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Thomas Reece served the community of Lakewood for nearly <br />27 years; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, It is fitting that all the citizens of the City of Lakewood express <br />their appreciation to Thomas Reece for his willingness to guard the citizens of this <br />community against all who would violate the law. Now therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to Thomas E. <br />Reece its appreciation and that of all of the citizens of this community for his dedicated <br />service to the Lakewood community. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward this Resolution to Thomas E. Reece, and that a copy of this <br />Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />,.
