REFERRED TO THE HEALTH & HUMAN <br />SERVICES COMMITTEE 9/16/02. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 7697-02 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Dunn, FitzGerald, George, <br /> Roth, Seelie, Skimdell. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and direCting the Director of the Department of <br />Human Services, on behalf of the City, to enter into an Agreement with the Cuyahoga <br />County Office of Criminal Justice Services to accept and expend funds for the Juvenile <br />Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program (3A[BG). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been awarded $15,976 by the Cuyahoga County Office of <br />Criminal 3ustice Services to continue the City's No Outs ProjeCt for a one year period <br />commencing January 1, 2002; and <br /> <br /> WHERF. AS, last year the City was awarded $16,667 for the No Outs Programs <br />that has been established to provide services to area juveniles and their families to help <br />reduce the number of juvenile offenders and repeat offenders, to identify At-Risk youth <br />for participation in anger management programs, to provide skill building services to <br />parents of juvenile offenders; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood, Department of Human Services, would like to <br />continue to provide these important services to juvenile offenders and their families. <br />Now, therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> SeCtion 1. That the DireCtor of the Department of Human Services, on behalf <br />of the City, be and is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an Agreement with <br />the Cuyahoga County Office of Criminal Justice Services to accept and expend funds for <br />the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program (3A[BG). <br /> SeCtion 2, It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: <br /> <br />Approved: ~ ~ I ~ 7..__ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
