RESOLUIION NO. 7759-03 BY: Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize members of The Lakewood Division of Police and all <br />peace officers during National Police Week 2003, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the week of May 11m through May 17th has bee~ designated as <br />National Police Week, 2003; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, May 15th is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day when we honor <br />those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognize those who work daily to <br />protect and serve the citizens of our community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by the <br />members of the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers nationally be given <br />public cognizance and recognition during this time. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to the members of the <br />Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers across the nation its appreciation for <br />their public service. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Division of Police and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
