RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />7760~03 <br /> <br />BY: <br /> <br />Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, <br />George, Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br />FitzGerald, <br /> <br /> AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to accept, on behalf <br />of the City of Lakewood, a professionally installed irrigation system at Warren <br />Road Park as a donation from the Lakewood Garden Club valued at over $2,000. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Garden Club helped to develop the Warren Road <br />Park in 1976; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, water lines were installed at the Warren Road Park last year; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a professionally installed irrigation system is the most cost <br />effective and efficient way maintain vegetation through the summer season; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Lakewood Garden Club has generously offered to donate an <br />irrigation system and has committed to maintaining the system in the future; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this <br />resolution shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, <br />SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of <br />municipal departments in that Northeastern Ohio has already realized below <br />average rainfall this spring. Now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE C1TY OF LAKEVVOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to accept, on behalf of <br />the City of Lakewood, a professionally installed irr gation system at Warren Road <br />Park as a donation from the Lakewood Garden Club valued at over $2,000. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this ordinance were adopted in <br />an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and <br />of any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions were in meetings <br />open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, <br />health, safety and welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City <br />for the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this resolution, and <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of its members elected <br />to Councib this resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br /> <br /> <br />
