Now Therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STALE OF OHIO Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into contracts with the Ohio Department of Transportation providing for the payment of the sum of money set forth herein for improving the described project. Section 2. That the estimated sum of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00), has been appropriated by Ordinance No. 1-03 passed, February 3, 2003. Section 3. That the City of Lakewood hereby requests the Director of Transportation to proceed with the aforesaid highway improvement. Section 4. That the Clerk of Council for the City of Lakewood is hereby directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Director of Transportation. Section 5. Tt is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council conCerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of the Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements. Section 6. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this resolution, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of its members elected to Coundl, this resolution shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by Adopted: ~ 2~ ~O~ Approved:~./~./{/~j~ q~ / President of Council
