RESOLUTION NO. 7783-03 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, <br /> George, Roth, Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor Brigid Balogh for her participation in the 2003 <br />Summer Special Olympics World Games and to acknowledge her accomplishments. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brigid Balogh was one of over one hundred skaters representing 15 <br />countries in the speed roller skating events held in Belfast, Ireland; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brigid Balogh earned a Silver Medal for placing second in the 4 x <br />100 meter race; a Bronze Medal for placing third in the 300 meter race and a Bronze <br />Medal for placing third in the 500 meter race; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Brigid Balogh exemplifies the spirit of good sportsmanship, <br />dedication and commitment and serves as an example to all athletes; now therefore; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and Maybr wish to congratulate Brigid Balogh <br />on her accomplishments and wish her well on future endeavors. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a copy this Resolution to Brigid Balogh and that a copy of this Resolution be <br />spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Adopted: ~f~ ~,-/, ,~0¢ -~ <br /> <br /> <br />
