RESOLUTION NO: 783~-04 <br /> <br />BY:. Corrigan, Demro, Dever~ ' <br />FitzGerald~ Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLI3TION to honor the 2003 St. Edward High School Varsity Football team for their <br /> outstanding performance during the '2003 high school football season. <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, the 2003 St. Edward l~gh School Varsity Football team has received statewide <br /> recognition as a state semifinalist and raaner-up State champion finishing the season as the number two, <br /> Division I, Football team in Ohio, based on OHSAA statistics; and <br /> <br /> W}IEREAS, the 2003 St. Edward l-ligh School Varsity Football team continued this tradition of <br /> excellence by winning the OItSAA Regional Championship to qualify for the State Championship game in <br /> Canton for only the third time in the school's 54 year history; and <br /> <br /> W][tEREAS, the 2003 St. Edward High School Varsity Football team captains Ryan Adkins, <br />Nick Lembaeh, Ryan Marando, and ltaruki Nalmmura, ted their team by example with Cony/etlon and <br />courage to the goal line; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the overall support of the St. Edward High School adniinismdon, faculty, staft~ <br />student body, alnmnl; the Lakewood Community and the loyal fans oftbe St. Edward Eagles around the world, <br />earn th~s team the honors and recognition they deserve as mrmer up StYe Clmmpians; and <br /> <br /> WltEREAS, by their outstanding athl6tiC accomplishments and good sportsmanship, together <br />with their expert guidance of their dedicated coaches, John Gibbons, and Assistant Coaches Dan Scanlon, <br />Matt Levindofske, Scott Niedzwieclci, Dave l~olian, Brian Walnsch, Dan F/aitkus, Tom I. ombardo, Mike <br />Corte, Matt $chmit~ Matt Godic, and Marry Lonckr, the St. Edward High School Varsit3z Football team has <br />brought position, recognition, and honor, not only to themselves, but to the entire Lakewood Community, now, <br />therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIo: <br /> <br /> Section 1 That we honor the 2003 St. Edward High School Varsky Football team for their <br />outstanding achievement durhlg the 2003 high SehooI football season. <br /> <br /> Section 2.
