RESOLUTION NO z845-04 <br /> <br />FitzGerald, Ma~igan, Seelie, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to honor Michael P. Summers who has completed eight years <br />of exemplary service as a member of the Lakewood Board of Education, from January <br />1996 through December 2003. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael P. Summers has served our community in numerous <br />capacities over the years; as a member of the Planning Commission of the City of <br />Lakewoed; as President of the Westside Industrial Retention Network (WIRE-NET); on <br />the Board of the Greater Cleveland Growth Association; he is currently co-chair of the <br />Growth Association; he has chaired several school levy campaigns; is a Director of the <br />First Federal Board of Lakewood; and was appointed by Governor Taft to serve as <br />Chair of Ohio's Workforce Policy Board; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael P. Summers has served as Board of Education President <br />for two years; Vice-President for two years; and as Chair of all Board committees; and, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Michael P. Summers has served as an example of integrity, <br />organization, hard work and caring, and his tireiess effor[s and devotion to this <br />community, its children and its sohools have resulted in the continued progress and <br />success of the Lakewood Schools <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF ~)HIO' <br /> <br /> Section 1 That this Council and Mayor wish to show their appreciation to <br />Michael P, Summers for his involvement with the community of Lakewood <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a copy this Resolution to Michael P. Summers and that a copy of this <br />Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting <br /> <br /> Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements <br /> <br />PRESIDENT <br /> <br /> <br />
