RESOLUTION NO. 7857-04 <br /> <br />FitzGerald, Madigan, Saelie. <br /> <br /> A RESQLU'FJ[ON commending 3effrey R. Rink for public service as the Assistant <br />Director of the Department of Manning and Development and Economic Development <br />specialist for the past four year. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, during his tenure as the Assistant Director of Planning & <br />Development, 3eft Rink worked with many business owners assisting them in relocation and <br />redevelopment through the Commercial Revitalization Program and the Economic <br />Development Fund, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 3eft Rink was instrumental in the conversion of the former Yorktown <br />Motel to the new home of Optimal Health Care; in the expansion and redevelopment of the <br />Virginia Marti College of Fashion and Art and in the construction of the IHOP Restaurant, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, 3eff Rink worked on the conversion of the former historic Elks Lodge <br />into the Winking Lizard Restaurant; was instrumental in the expansion and redevelopment of <br />the Hinkiey Lighting facility on Berea Road, and; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, As Assistant Director of Planning & Development, 3eft Rink was <br />recognized as a conscientious, effective and respected member of the staff who gave liberally <br />of his time, talents and energies to the preservation and future development of Lakewood; <br />and, <br /> WHEREAS, it is tieing and proper that the public service rendered by <br />Jeffrey R. Rink be given public cognizance and recognition; now therefore, <br /> <br />BE ~q- RESOLVED BY THE C~TY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That this Council and the Mayor extend to 3effrey R. Rink their <br />appreciation for the valued and dedicated public service as the Assistant Director of the <br />Department of Planning and Development, and that of all citizens of this communii:y in an <br />expression of appreciation by this public recognitior~. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to 3effrey R. Rink, 1244 French Avenue, <br />Lakewqod, Ohio 44~07, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3.
