<br />o <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br /> <br />Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald <br />BY: <br />Madigan, See lie <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION to recognize members of The Lakewood Division of Police <br />and all p'eace officers during National Police Week 2004, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the week of May 9th through May 15th has been designated as <br />National Police Week, 2004; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, May 15th is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day when we <br />honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognize those who <br />work daily to protect and serve the citizens of our community; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by the <br />members of the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers nationally be <br />given public cognizance and recognition during this time; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio: <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to the <br />members of the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers across the <br />nation its appreciation for their public service. <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Division of <br />Police and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this <br />meeting. <br /> <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this <br />Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were <br />in meètings open to the public in é:ompliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br />Approved: If-,? -0 If <br /> <br /> <br />Adopted: ~5) irrXll <br />
