RESOLUTION NO 7896-04 <br /> <br />Dunn, FitzGerald, Madlgan, Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor as Director of Public Safety, on <br />behalf of the City, to bnter into an Agreement with the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency to accept and expend funds for the Assistance to <br />Firefighters Grant Program for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety and to <br />match funds for this project in the amount of $40,699 56. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has been awarded $94,965,64 by the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency for the purchase of breathing air equipment <br />totaling $135,665 20 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the grant program requires that the City match thirty percent <br />(30%) of the total project costs; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, acceptance of this grant will permit the City to purchase <br />necessary safety equipment for the City's contribution of $40,699 56 Now, <br />therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CiTY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1 The Mayor as Director of Public Safety, is hereby authorized, <br />on behalf of the City, to enter into an Agreement with the Federal Emergency <br />Management Agency to accept and expend funds for the Assistance to <br />Firefighters Grant Program for Fire Operations and Firefighter Safety and to <br />match funds for this project in the amount of $40,699 56 <br /> <br /> Section 2.
