RESOLUTION NO. 7901-04 BY: Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, <br /> FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION proclaiming the week of May 16-22nd 2004 as Emergency Medical <br />Services Week in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, emergency medical services are a vital public service; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams are ready to provide <br />ii~'esaving care to those in need 24 hours a day, seven days a week; and <br /> <br /> Wh"EREAS, access to quality emergency care drmnatically improves the survival and <br />recovery rate of those who experience sudden illness or injury; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the members of emergency medical services teams engage in thousands of <br />hours of specialized lralning and continuing education to enhance their lifesaving skills; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Americans benefit dally from the knowledge and skills of these highly <br />trahting individuals; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is appropriate to reco~fize the value and the accomplishments of <br />emergency medical services providers by designating Emergency Medical Services Week; and <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br /> Section 1 That this Council and Mayor declare May 16-22nd 2004 as Emergency <br />Medical Services Week in the City of Lakewood. <br /> <br /> Section 2 That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a copy tiffs Resointion to' Ctfief Lawrence E.
