RESOLUTION NO, 7930-04 BY: Corrigan~ Demr.o~ Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION congratulating Emil Girod on his retirement and expressing appreciation for his years of valued and dedicated public service to the City of Lakewood Whereas, Emil Girod has committed over 20 years of service to the City of Lakewood through tending our community garden sites at Bonnieview, Giel and Westwood Avenues, and WHEREAS, Mr, Girod has contributed to the production of over 6,000 lbs of food to the Meals on Wheels Program, and WHEREAS, he has been recognized as a recipient of the 1993 Cuyahoga County Golden Spruce A ward, the 1995 National City Bank Volunteer of the Year Award and was a Garden of the Year Finalist for the PBS TV show Victory Garden; now, therefore, WHEREAS, It is olÙY fitting and proper that the public service rendered by Mr. Emil Girod be given public cognizance and recognition, now, therefore, OHIO' BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF Section 1. That the City Council and Mayor would like to congratulate Mr Emil Girod on his retirement and thank him for his significant contribution to our community. Section 2, That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy this Resolution to Mr, Emil Girod and ,that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
