RESOLlJT10N NO.: 7944-04A Cortigan~ De~b~ Dever, Dunn, EitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION amending Resolution NO.. 7944-04, adopted 'January 18, 2005 for the purpose of authorizing the Director of Finance to p~y the cost of an additional membership (International Code Council) of municipal employe~ and/or Departments and Divisions in certain associations for the year 2005, deleting one r;nembership (Building Officials & Code Admin. International, Inc.), and declaring such memberships to be in the public interest. WHEREAS, memberships of municipal employees in organizations are designed to enhance the operation of municipal departments by the exchange of id¢as, information and experience to ,the pubHc benefit; and WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines that this resolution is an emergency measurer and that this resol'ution shan take.effect at the earliest date pOSsibie as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is neCe5$a~ for the immediatepreservatíon of the pubHc propertyr health and safetyr and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that this addition is necessary to purchase code books.
