<br />RESOLUTION NO 7957-05 <br /> <br />BY~ Corrigan~ Dernro, Dever, <br />Dunn, FitzGerald, Seelie <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the <br />Mayor for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood to enter into an Agreement with <br />the Cleveland Foundation to accept and expend funds for the Municipal Elder- <br />Friendly Communities Project, a community-building assessment process to <br />support older adults The agreement provides for funding of a Project <br />Coordinator, supplies and travel related expenses <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Cleveland Foundation is administering grants from <br />the Lynn J. and Eva D. Hammond Memorial Fund to communities for the purpose <br />of conducting a community-building assessment process to support older adults, <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a grant of $25,000.00 has been made from the <br />Cleveland Foundation to the City of Lakewood for this express purpose, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members <br />elected thereto determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and <br />that this resolution shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in <br />ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF <br />THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate <br />preservation of the public property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual <br />daiiy operation of municipal departments in that the grant must be submitted no <br />later than January 15, 2005. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br /> <br />OHIO- <br /> <br />Section 1. That the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of <br />Lakewood, be and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a contract <br />with the Cleveland Foundation to accept and expend funds for the Municipal <br />Elder"Friendly Communities Project <br /> <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this <br />Council concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted <br />in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council <br />and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings <br />open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements <br /> <br />. Section 3.
