Deferred 4/18/05. RESOLUTION NO. 7979-05 BY: Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION to congratulate the St Edward High School Hockey Team and their Coach Bob Whidden on wiuning the 2005 State Title; a total of 10 State titles in 13 championship games WHEREAS, St. Edward High School Hockey Team has had an exciting and successful season; and, WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Lakewood are proud of these young athletes and the positive publicity they have brought to our community and to the St Edward High Schoo]; and, WHEREAS, the- citizens of this community desire to honor these athletes for their sportsmanship and dedicated team effort; and, WHEREAS, it is appropriate to recognize the accomplishments of the St Edward High School Hockey Team with this resolution to extend to them our pride in their accomplishment BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to the St. Edward High School Hockey Team and their Coach Bob Whidden sincere congratulations on their tenth State title. Section 2, That the Clerk of C01.ll1cil be and she is hereby authorized and directed to forward a copy this Resolution to· St, Edward High School, 13500 Detroit Avenue, Lakewood, Ohio and a that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements.
