RESOLUTION NO. 8030-05 BY: Corrigan, Demro, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION to congratulate SS. Cyril and Methodius School on being awarded the U.S. Department of Education 2005 No Child Left Behind - Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award WHEREAS, SS Cyril and Methodius School is lhe only Catholic School in Northeast Ohio to receive this award and one of only 16 schools in the State of Ohio; and, WHEREAS, This is a national honor from the United States Department of Education for achieving high standards of academic excellence and dramatic improvement; and, WHEREAS, The staff of SS. Cyril and Methodius School is to be congratulated for achieving the Blue Ribbon School Award as they have dedicated themselves to encouraging their students to achieve their academic best; and, WHEREAS, SS. Cyril and Methodius School has been committed to providing an outstanding education for the young people of Lakewood which will allow them to thrive and 10 attain goals which are important to them and to their future; and, Now Therefore; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' Section 1, That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to its appreciation and that of all the citizens of this community for their exceptional dedication to the young people of the Lakewood community. the meeling Section 2 That a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of r Section 3.
