<br />RESOLUTIOW:NO. 8032-05 <br /> <br />BY: Corrigan, Demro) Dever, Dunn, <br /> <br />FitzGerald) Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION calling upon the citizens of Lakewood to participate in fire prevention <br />activities at home, work and school, and to heed the message: "Use Candles with Care' When <br />You Go Out, Blow Out!" as the 2005 Fire Prevention Week theme soggests. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is dedicated to reducing the occurrence of fires and <br />injuries through prevention and education; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, safety from fire is important to both citizens and local firefighters who put <br />their lives on the line with every response to fire; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, candles are a growing fire threat in our community; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Lakewood Division of Fire is joining the National Fire Protection <br />Association in teaching lifesaving messages in conjunction with Fire Prevention Week; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Division of Fire is dedicated to the safety ofJife and property from the <br />devastating effects of fire; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fire Ptevention Week 2005 theme, "Use Candles with Care: When You <br />Go Out, Blow Out!" is an important reminder for all citizens of Lalœwood to use proper care <br />with candles, Now therefore; <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor designate and proclaim October 10th - 14th, 2004 <br />as Fire Preverition Week in the City of Lakewood and call upon the citizens of Lakewood to <br />participate in fire prevention activities at home, work and school <br /> <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a copy this Resolution to: Chief Lawrence E.
