RESOLUTION NO! 805,2-05 BY~ Butler, Demro, Dever, Dunn, FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION recoginzing the accomplishments of Paul Yerga of the 2005 Lakewood High School Boys Cross Country Team WHEREAS, the LHS Boys' Cross Country Team qualified for the Regional Meet for the 19th consecutive year and finishing i 1m, and; WHEREAS, Paul Verga was crowned as the individual champion of the Lake Erie League, the 17th LHS runner to do so in the 59-year history of the LEL; and, WHEREAS, paul Verga won the individual title at the OHSAA District Meet by 28 seconds, becoming the 7th LtlS District champion since 1992; and, WHEREAS, Paul Verga finished 8th at the OHSAA Regional Meet, in a personal record of 16:05, to advance to the State Meet; ahd, WHEREAS, Paul Verga ran with courage and conviction to finish 32nd at the 77th aanual OHSAA State Cross Country Championship; WHEREAS, the residents of the City of Lakewood axe proud of Paul Verga's accomplishments. Now, therefore; BE IT RESoLvED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1 That this Council and Mayor extend to the Paul Verga of the 2005Lakewood High School Boys Cross Comtlry Team their sincere congratulations, Section 2 That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and dkected to forward a copy tiffs Resolution to' Lakewood High School, 14100 Hilliard Boulevard, Lakewood, Ohio and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of ttfis resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Com~cii, and that all anch deliberations of this Council and of any of its cormnittees that remdted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requLrements.
