Seelie. <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION amending Resolution 'No. 8042-05A, adopted March 6, 2006 for <br />the purpose of authorizing the Director of Finance to pay the cost of an additional membership [Ohio <br />Economic Development Association (OEDA)] of municipal employees and/or Departments and Divisions <br />in certain associations for the year 2006, and declaring such memberships to be in the public interest. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, memberships of municipal employees in organizations are designed to enhance the <br />operation of municipal departments by the exchange of ideas, information and experience to the public <br />benefit; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) membérs elected thereto determines tnat <br />this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall take effect at the earliest date <br />possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SEcrONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE <br />CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it isneœssaryfor the immediate preservation of the public property, <br />health and safetyI and to provide for the usual dally operation of municipal departments in that the <br />annual membership year is the calendar year and the City is losing the bénefit of . Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO, <br /> <br />Section 1. That Resolution No. 8042-0SA, adopted Marth 6, 2006 currently reading as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1.
