Madigan, See lie . <br /> <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION amending Resolution No. 8042-05B, adopted May 1, 2006 <br />for the purpose of authorizing the Director of Finance to pay the cost of additional memberships <br />(Family-to,-FamiJy Administrators and International Police Mountain Bike Association) of munidpal <br />employees and/or Departments and Divisions in certain associations for the year 2006, and <br />declaring such memberships to be in the public interest. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, memberships of municipal employees in organizations are designed to enhance <br />the operation of municipal departments by the exchange of ideas, information and experience to <br />the public benefit¡ and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto determines <br />that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall take effect at the <br />earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, 5ECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED <br />CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and thåt it is necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public prope"rty, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments in that this addition is necessary to purchase code books. Now Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br /> <br />Section 1. That Resolution No. 8042-058, adopted May 1, 2006' currently reading as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1.
