RESOLUTION NO. 8066-06 BY: Antonio, Butler, Demro, Dever, <br /> FitzGerald~ Madigan, Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTi~)N approving Council's nomination and appointment of Ken <br />Kowalski as a member of the Fair Employment Wage Board for a three-year term, <br />cununencing February 1, 2006 and ending January 31, 2009 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, in order for the Fair Employment Wage Board to conduct business <br />with the benefit of full m6mbership and to fulfill the requirements of representation in a <br />timely mariner, this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon its <br />passage. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to Article HI, Sections 10 and 13 of the SECOND <br />AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAI<iEWOOD this Resolution shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor for <br />reasons previously set forth and defined, provided it receives the affirmative vote of at <br />least five (5) of its members elected to Council, otherwise, it shall take effect and be in <br />force after the earliest period allowed by law <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAI<2EWOOD, STATE OF OHIO- <br /> <br /> Section 1 That the Council hereby approves the nomination and appointment <br />of Ken Kowalski as a member of the Fair Employment Wage Board for a tbree~year term <br />commencing February 1, 2006 and ending January 31, 2009. <br /> <br /> Section 2. It is fuund and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting <br />of this Council, and of any of its Committees that resulted in such fore,al actions were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation Of the public peace, proper~y, health, safety and <br />welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set for[h <br />and defined in the preamble to this resolution, and provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of at least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this resolution shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately npun its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor <br />othep~vise, it shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br /> <br />Adopted:f~ [% ,,~0~ ~ <br /> <br />Approved:~ ~'~, t~__~ <br /> <br />President <br /> <br /> <br />
