RESOLUTION NO 8097-06 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize members of The Lakewood Division of Police and <br />all peace officers during National Police Week 2006 <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the week of May 14~h through May 20m has been designated as <br />National Police Weekl 2006; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, May 15m is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day when we honor <br />those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognize those who work daily to <br />protect and serve the citizens of our community; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered by the <br /> members of the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers nationally be given <br /> public cognizance and recognition dudng this time Now, therefore <br /> <br /> BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Lakewood, State of Ohio: <br /> <br /> Section 1 That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to the members of the <br />Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers across the nation its appreciation for <br />their public service <br /> <br /> Section 2, That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized and <br />directed to forward a certified copy of this Resotufion to the Division of Police and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the m~this meating <br /> <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Approved' <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br /> <br />
