RESOLUTION NO 8165-07 BY' Antonio, Butler, Demro, ])ever, <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION authorizing and directing the Mayor or his designee, for <br />and on behalf of the City of hakewood to enter into a Subsidy Agreement with the State <br />of Ohio, Ohio Department of Health to enhance the public health services of the <br />Department of Human Services/Division of Health associated with the implementation of <br />Chapter 3794 of the Ohio Revised Code for the time period from January 2, 2007 <br />through June 30, 2007 in the amount of $2,171.00: <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, Ohio Department of Health is designating <br />local health departments to conduct activities regarding the initial implementation of <br />Chapter 3794 of the Ohio Revised Code; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS; a subsidy agreement between the Ohio Department of Health <br />and the Lakewood Department of Human Services/Division of Health will provide funds <br />in the amount of $2,171 00 to assist in the implementation of Chapter 3794, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected <br />thereto determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this <br />resolution shall take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE I~1, <br />SECTONS 10 and 13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER*QF THE CITY OF <br />LAKEWOOD, and that it is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />property, health and safety, and to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal <br />departments in that the grant must be submitted no later than July 16, 2004. Now <br />Therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the Mayor, for and on behalf of the City of Lakewood, be <br />and he is hereby authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the State of <br />Ohio, Ohio Department of Health to provide funds in the amount of $2,171.00 to assist <br />with the implementation of Chapter 3794 of the Ohio Revised Code for the time pedod <br />from January 2, 2007 through June 30, 2007 in the amount of $2,171 00 <br /> <br /> Section 2 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this Resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements <br /> <br /> Section 3 That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace~ property, health, <br />safety and welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the <br />reasons set forth and defined in the preamble to this resolution, and provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of at least five (5) of its members elected to Council, this resolution <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption by the Council and <br />approval by the, Mayor otherwise, it shall take effect and be in force after the eadiest <br />period allowed by law <br /> <br />CLERK <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
