RESOLUTION NO, 8177-07 <br /> <br /> BY' Antonio, Butler, Demro, <br />Dever, FitzGerald, Madigan,Seelie. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION to recognize members of The Lakewood Division <br />of Police and ail peace officers during National Police Week 2007, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the week of May 13th through May 19t~ has been <br />designated as National Police Week, 2007; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, May 15th is National Peace Officers' Memorial Day <br />when we honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and recognize <br />those who work daily to protect and serve the citizens of our community; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the public service rendered <br />by the members of the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers <br />nationally be given public cognizance and recognition during this time; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City of Lakewood, <br />State of Ohio: <br /> <br /> SectiOn 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to the <br />members of the Lakewood Division of Police and peace officers across <br />the nation its appreciation for their public service <br /> <br /> Section 2, That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the <br />Division of Police and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the <br />minutes of this meeting <br /> <br /> <br />
