RESOLUTION NO 8181-07 BY' ~%tonlo, Butler, Demro, Madigan, Seelie. A RESOLUTION to congratulate the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce on being awarded honorable mention in the Northern Ohio Area Chambers of Commerce Growth Chamber Challenge; and, WHEREAS, The Growth Chamber Challenge is a challenge to find ereative ways to grow membership and add innovative activities issued to 130 chambers of commerce in the NOACC network; and, WHEREAS, The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce was recognized for its sponsorship of several events to support Lakewood businesses, specifically: · Taste of Lakewood, which showcases the city's restaurants · Lakewood Community Day at the Lake County Captains, which drew over 750 fans · West Suburban Home Show in cooperation with other West Side Chambers of Commerce WHEREAS, The residents of the City of Lakewood are grateful to the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce for their dedication to our community; and, Now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO' Section 1. That this Council and Mayor, hereby extend to The Lakewood Chamber of Commerce our congratulations on receiving honorable mention in the NOACC Growth Chamber Challenge Section 2 That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward this Resolution to the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce, c/o Kathy Berkshire, CEO and President, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements CLERK(
