RESOLUTION NO, 8t85-07 BY: Antonio, Butler, Demro, Dever, <br /> FitzGerald, Madigan, Seelie. <br /> A RESOLUTION congratulating Timothy Joseph Swceney, a member of the Boy Sanuts <br />of America, on earning the rank of Eagle Scout. <br /> <br /> WH]~REAS, the Boy Scouts of America is the nation's foremost youth program of <br />character development and values-based leadership training, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Scouting offers young people responsible fun and adventure, instills values <br />and develops ethical character as expressed in the Scout Oath and Law, and trains young people <br />in citizenship, service, and leadership, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Timothy Sweeneyjoined the St. Mark Cub Scout Pack 268 and earned the <br />Light of Christ, Panmli Dei and Arrow of Light distinctions, later joining Boy Scout Troop 293 <br />where he' served as Troop Guide, Troop Historian, and Assistant Senior Patrol Leader; now, <br />therefore <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO <br /> <br /> Section 1 That this body would like to extend its congratulations and a commendation <br />for a longtime commitment that led to earning this distinguished rank from the Boy Scouts of <br />America. <br /> <br /> Section 2 That the Clerk ~fLakewood City Council is hereby apthorized and directed to <br />for~vard a copy of this resolution to Timothy Joseph Sweeney of 2192 Mars Avenue, and that a <br />copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. <br /> <br /> Section 3 It is found and determined that all formal actions of the Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, <br />and that ali such deliberation of Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal <br />action were in meetings opeu to the public in compliance witJ~d~-l~al requirements~ <br /> <br /> PRESIDENT <br /> <br />Adopted. <br /> <br />MAYOR <br /> <br /> <br />
