RESOLUTION NO. 8323-09 BY: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, <br />Madigan, Powers, Summmers. <br />A RESOLUTION to commend Daniel Brennan for his dedicated service to the <br />City of Lakewood as a member of the City of Lakewood Board of Building Standards, <br />Architectural Board of Review and Sign Review Boazd. <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Brennan is a lifelong Lakewood resident, the son of a <br />longtime Lakewood firefighter and merchant, and himself the owner of a successful floral <br />business that has been a mainstay on Madison Avenue in eastern Lakewood for over 25 <br />years, and <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Brennan was appointed to the City of Lakewood Board of <br />Building Standards, Architectural Board of Review and Sign Review Board due to his <br />lmowledge of Lakewood and his dedication to this community, and <br />WHEREAS, during his tenure on the Board of Building Standards, Architectural <br />Board of Review and .Sign Review Board, Daniel Brennan demonstrated a strong <br />commitment to this important civic position, his devotion to Lakewood always matched <br />by his earnestness, self-deprecation and good humor, in all earning him the cheery <br />nicknames "Danny," "Uncle Danny" and even "Sen. Brennan," and <br />WHEREAS, Daniel Brennan fmished his term on the Board of Building <br />Standards, Architectural Board of Review and Sign Review Board as the chair, a tacit <br />acknowledgment of the important role Lakewood's business owners play on its volunteer <br />boards and commissions, and <br />WHEREAS, it is thus fitting and proper that the public service rendered by Daniel <br />Brennan be given public cognizance and recognition; now, therefore: <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to Daniel Brennan their <br />appreciation for his valued and dedicated public service as a member and chair of the <br />City of Lakewood Board of Building Standards, Architectural Board of Review and Sign <br />Review Board, and that of all citizens of this community in an expression of appreciation <br />for his public service. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and duetted to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Daniel Brennan and that a copy of this <br />Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br />Section 3. It is found and deternvned that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting <br />of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its <br />
