RESOLUTION NO. ~~~°li~j BY: Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, <br />8382-09 Madigan, Powers, Summers <br />AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION objecting to the transfer of ownership of D2, D2X, <br />D3A and D6 liquor permits from Jay RRS Inc. to 14027 Madison Avenue LLC dba <br />Richland Cafe for an establishment located at 14027 Madison Avenue, 1~ Floor, City of <br />Lakewood, Ohio 44107. <br />WHEREAS, the City has been advised that an application has been filed with the <br />Ohio Department of Liquor Control to transfer the ownership of D2, D2X, D3A and D6 <br />liquor permits from Jay RRS Inc. to 14027 Madison Avenue LLC dba Richland Cafe for <br />an establishment located at 14027 Madison Avenue, 1~ Floor, Lakewood, Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, the Lakewood Police Department has conducted a thorough <br />investigation of this matter and has reported on this matter to the Law Director of the <br />City of Lakewood; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council by a vote of at least five (5) members elected thereto <br />determines that this resolution is an emergency measure, and that this resolution shall <br />take effect at the earliest date possible as set forth in ARTICLE III, SECTONS 10 and <br />13 of the SECOND AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, and that it is <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public property, health and safety, and <br />to provide for the usual daily operation of municipal departments in that the City of <br />Lakewood must either timely object to the transfer of these permits or forever waive an <br />objection. Now, therefore, <br />BE 1T RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF <br />OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Council hereby objects to the transfer of ownership by the <br />Department of Liquor Control of the State of Ohio of D2, D2X, D3A and D6 liquor <br />permits from Jay RRS Inc. to 14027 Madison Avenue LLC dba Richland Cafe for an <br />establishment located at 14027 Madison Avenue, 1~ Floor, Lakewood, Ohio 44107 for <br />reasons in accordance with the provisions Ohio Revised Code §4303.292. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution together with a letter requesting that the <br />
