RESOLUTION NO. 8384-09 BYr. Antonio, Bullock, Butler, Dever, Madigan, Powers, Summers A RESOLUTION extending cogratulatipns to Around the Corner Saloon and Cafe on its 35s` anniversary. WHEREAS, Around the Corner has become a Lakewood landmark under the ownership of Mickey Krivosh and now the direction of his son, Ryan, and WHEREAS, this ever-evolving establishment continues to delight its loyal customers whether young or old by providing exciting, contemporary, and dynamic attractions while maintaining a hometown €eel, and WHEREAS, Around the Corner Saloon and Cafe is an award-winning family business and has been honored by Cleveland Magazine; the Cleveland Plain Dealer Friday Magazine and just recently by the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce as owner Mickey Krivosh was named Business Person of the Year because he is "...An individual with a business interest in the community who works to better Lakewood in one or more ways; contributing time and effort in civic, recreational, school and(or church activities...", and WHEREAS, the entire Krivosh family, especially Mickey's wife Patty, daughter Jennifer, son Ryan and nephew Matt deserve credit for the restaurant and tavern's success demonstrating a family work ethic that draws on the strengths of each, and WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that a successful Lakewood business that has been a source of enjoyment for so many and has contibuted to Lakewood's vibrant business community be given public cognizance and recogntion on the occasion of its 35`" anniversary; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend to the Around the Corner Saloon and Cafe contragulations and thanks for 35 years of doing business in our community and further wish this establishment continued years of growth and prosperity. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Mickey and Ryan Krivosh and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with' all 1e~1 rye em nts.
