RESOLUTION N0. ss94-io <br />BY; Antonio, Bullock, Butler, <br />Madigan, Powers, Smith, Summers. <br />A RESOLUTION to take effect immediately provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of at least five (5) members elected to Council otherwise, it shall <br />take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowed by law approving <br />Council's nomination and appointment of sob strommen as a member of the Fair <br />Employment Wage Board for athree-year term, commencing February 1, 2010 and ending <br />January 31, 2012. <br />WHEREAS, in order for the Fair Employment Wage Board to conduct business <br />with the benefit of full membership and to fulfill the requirements of representation in a <br />timely manner, this Resolution shall take effect and be in full force immediately upon its <br />passage. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Article III, Sections 10 and 13 of the SECOND <br />AMENDED CHARTER OF THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD this Resolution shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its adoption and approval by the Mayor for <br />reasons previously set forth and defined, provided it receives the affirmative vote of at <br />least five (5) of its members elected to Council, otherwise, it shall take effect and be in <br />force after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Council hereby approves the nomination and appointment <br />of Ken Kowalski as a member of the Fair Employment Wage Board for athree-year term <br />commencing February 1, 2010 and ending January 31, 2012. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting <br />of this Council, and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal actions were in <br />meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Section 3. That this resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and <br />welfare in the City and for the usual daily operation of the City for the reasons set forth <br />and defined'in this resolution, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of at least five <br />(5) of its members elected to Council, this resolution shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its adoption by the Council and approval by the Mayor otherwise, it <br />shall take effect and be in force after the earliest period allowe by law. <br />Adopted~G,~~r„ I '2c1~ O <br />Pres dent , <br />~ ~ <br />Clerk ~ <br />Approved: <br />Mayor <br />
