the wrestling team finished second in the state and was ranked in the top 10 in the nation; <br />the basketball team won a district championship; and the football team earned academic <br />All-Ohio honors with a team GPA of 3.68; and <br />WHEREAS, it is thus fitting and appropriate to recognize and give public <br />cognizance to St. Edward High School for its many accomplishments during the 2009- <br />2010 school year on behalf of the citizens of Lakewood; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor extend their appreciation to the St. <br />Edward High School community, including its students, administrators, faculty and staff, <br />for their valued service to the City of Lakewood and their many and varied <br />accomplishments during the 2009-2010 school year, as well as the appreciation of all <br />citizens of this community for the good work undertaken by the St. Edward community. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the administration, faculty and students of <br />St. Edward High School, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of <br />this meeting. <br />Section 3.
