RESOLUTION N0. 1xoa~~X <br />8456-10 <br />BY: ~i~ Bullock, Butler, <br />Madigan, Powers, Smith, Summers. <br />AN RESOLUTION authorizing the Mayor to enter into an agreement with <br />the City of Westlake, Ohio to accept radios and related equipment, as purchased <br />by the City of Westlake, Ohio through the Ohio's Cooperative Purchase Act. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Westlake, Ohio accepted a Grant from the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency for the purchase of new radio equipment for <br />the improvement of radio communications for use by various local fire <br />departments; and <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has mandated <br />that narrowbanding be complete by January 1, 2013; and <br />WHEREAS, the new supplies, service equipment and materials will meet <br />the 2013 narrow-banding requirements; and <br />WHEREAS, the equipment valued at $164,197.40 will be purchased at no <br />cost to the City of Lakewood. Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into an <br />agreement with the City of Westlake, Ohio to accept radios and related <br />equipment, including installation and configuration, as purchased through the <br />Ohio's Cooperative Purchase Act with a value estimated at $164,197.40. <br />Section 2.
