8522-11 Appreciation to Cox Charities for support of H2O

RESOLUTION NO: 8522-11 BY: Anderson, Bullock, .Turin, Nowlin, Powers, Smith. A RESOLUTION expressing appreciation to Cox Cleveland and Cox Charities Cleveland for their monetary, volunteer and technological contributions in support of the H2O (Help to Others), a youth volunteer program of the Department of Human Services, Division of Youth, WHEREAS; In 2011, Cox Charities Cleveland awarded H2O one of their five Employee Advisory Grants in the amount of $1,000.00, supporting the H2O Summer Service camp operations; and WHEREAS; Cox Cleveland partnered with H2O volunteers on the development and production of three videos including an educational video for the award winning Home Alone Program, a promotional video celebrating the H2O Summer Service Camp and a community awareness video presented by campers on the "how-to's" of community recycling; and WHEREAS; Cox Cleveland partnered with H2O to provide information to parents on safety concerns for children in the digital age; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. That the Mayor and Council, on behalf of the City of Lakewood, express their sincere gratitude to Cox Cleveland and Cox Charities Cleveland for their long term commitment and community contributions in support of the H2O program. Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and of any of its committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in compliance with all legal requirements..
