RESOLUTION NO. gssl-12 <br />BY: Anderson, Bullock, Juris, Madigan, <br />Nowlin, Powers, Smith. <br />A RESOLUTION recognizing and commending the Lakewood High School Girls <br />Rugby Team for capturing the 2012 State Championship and placing second nationally <br />in the 2011!2012 season <br />WHEREAS the contributions of team members Monica Adams, Shailah <br />Anderson, Princess Bednarski, Erica Bunce, Chelsea Clark, Samantha Dlugokecki, <br />Marisa Francis, Cynthia Fuentes, Natalie Gierke, Robin Hentges Brittany Kapsalis <br />Caitlin Kilbane, Shannon Liwosz, Danielle McCombs, Jianna McCullough, Sara <br />Odetallah, Tiara Preston, Justina Puskas, Jessica Wagner, .Bailey Weiss, and Kara <br />Werner, have been exceptional, and <br />WHEREAS the residents of the City of Lakewood are proud of these young <br />athletes and their dedicated team effort, and <br />WHEREAS it is only fitting and proper that the accomplishments of the Lakewood <br />High School Girls Rugby Team be given public cognizance and recognition in a formal <br />resolution; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1 That the Mayor and Lakewood City Council would like to congratulate <br />the Lakewood High Schools Girls Rugby Team for their outstanding accomplishments in <br />the 2011/2012 season and for their success~in so ably and honorably representing the <br />City of Lakewood in competition with other high schools across the state and throughout <br />the country. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council is hereby authorized and directed to forward <br />a copy this Resolution to Lakewood High School, 14100 Franklin Boulevard, Lakewood, <br />Ohio, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting <br />Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council <br />concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open <br />meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberation of Council and of any of its <br />committees that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the public in <br />compliance with all legal requirements <br />Adopted: ~/ <br />Approved: 2 `'~ 2 <br />~~ <br />President of Council <br />Clerk of up~ <br />Mayor ~~ <br />
