RESOLUTION 8716 -14 No. Anderson, Bullock, Suris, Madigan, <br />Marx, Nowlin, O'Leary. <br />A RESOLUTION to honor Ryan John Giermann on his achievement in <br />attaining the rank of Eagle Scout with the Boy Scouts of America. <br />WHEREAS, an Eagle Scout rank is reached by only one out of one thousand <br />Boy Scouts; given only to those Scouts who have earned a minimum of 21 merit badges <br />and have completed an extensive service project self - planned, organized, and managed <br />by the Scout, and <br />WHEREAS, Ryan John Giermann excelled in each of his scouting endeavors <br />advancing through the ranks of Tiger Cub Pack 268, earning "Leader of the Pack" while <br />a Bear Cub, continuing through Webelos Scout to the great honor of Eagle Scout with <br />Boy Scout Troop 293, and <br />WHEREAS, Ryan's chosen service project involved collaborating with <br />volunteers, city officials and outside advisors to build a ten foot by ten foot shelter in the <br />Lakewood Dog Park, and <br />WHEREAS, it is only fitting and proper that Ryan John Giermann be given public <br />cognizance and recognition for attaining the distinguished rank of Eagle Scout in the <br />Boy Scouts of America; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council and Mayor of the City of Lakewood commend Ryan <br />John Giermann for achieving the Boy Scouts of America's highest rank of Eagle Scout. <br />Section 2. That this Council and Mayor further wish to recognize Ryan's parents <br />Patty and Ron whose support, encouragement and love are reflected in their son's <br />many achievements. <br />Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to <br />forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Ryan John Giermann and that a copy of <br />this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting. <br />Adopted: j(::e <br />Approved: 2 �1 <br />President <br />
