A RESOLUTION to commend Lakewood High School Women's Basketball Team for an outstanding 2013 -2014 basketball season. WHEREAS, the Lakewood Rangers Women's Basketball Team was victorious in capturing its second straight West Shore Conference title with a 19 -5 season as well as being ranked in the Plain Dealer Top 25 for a majority of the season, and WHEREAS, through the expert guidance of Mike Harper, who was named West Shore Conference Coach of the Year, the Lakewood High School Women's Basketball Team has brought honor to themselves, their school and to our entire community; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: Section 1. On behalf of the residents of Lakewood, the Lakewood City Council and Mayor extend to the Lakewood High School Women's Basketball Team its commendation and the commendation of all the citizens of the community for its outstanding athletic achievements during the 2013 -2014 high school basketball season. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to the Lakewood High School Women's Basketball Team c/o Coach Mike Harper, and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
