RESOLUTION NO. 8817 -15 <br />BY: Anderson, Bullock, Juris, <br />Madigan, Marx, O'Leary. <br />A RESOLUTION authorizing the Director of Law to enter into negotiations with the <br />Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Lakewood Hospital Association and Lakewood Hospital <br />Foundation regarding Lakewood Hospital and future healthcare delivery in Lakewood. <br />WHEREAS, Council recognizes that Lakewood citizens, businesses, and other interested <br />parties seek updates and transparency with respect to the progress of Council deliberations <br />regarding Lakewood Hospital; and <br />WHEREAS, the Letter of Intent regarding Lakewood Hospital that was referred to City <br />Council earlier this year has since expired; now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />Section 1. City Council directs its legal counsel to negotiate with representatives of the <br />Lakewood Hospital Association, the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the Lakewood Hospital <br />Foundation regarding Lakewood Hospital and future healthcare delivery in Lakewood. <br />Section 2. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning <br />and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this council, <br />and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such <br />formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements. <br />Adopted: <br />Approved: Lax lP� <br />T <br />O <br />Preside t <br />
