RESOLUTION NO. 8828 -15 By: Andreson, Bullock, Juris, Madigan, Marx, <br />N_wlin, O'Leary. <br />A Resolution celebrating LakewoodAlive and the Downtown Lakewood Business Alliance for <br />receiving the 2015 Heritage Ohio Best Committee Event award for their second annual <br />Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival, held September 13, 2014. <br />WHEREAS, the Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival is an annual event made possible <br />through the close collaboration of LakewoodAlive, the Downtown Lakewood Business Alliance, <br />a number of business sponsors, and approximately 200 volunteers, and; <br />WHEREAS, the second amoral Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival contributed to the <br />vibrancy of Lakewood by attracting 2,000 attendees to this downtown event, and; <br />WHEREAS, the second annual Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival raised $25,000 in <br />to invest in the continued revitalization of Downtown Lakewood, and; <br />WHEREAS, these contributions to Lakewood have earned LakewoodAlive and the <br />Downtown Lakewood Business Alliance the 2015 heritage Ohio Best Committee Event award <br />for their second annual Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival, and; <br />WHEREAS, the City of Lakewood is proud that LakewoodAlive and the Downtown <br />Lakewood Business Alliance have received statewide recognition for their successful 2014 event <br />and looks forward to a continued partnership with these exceptional organizations to further <br />grow and strengthen Lakewood. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That this Council hereby recognizes LakewoodAlive and the Downtown Lakewood <br />Business Alliance for earning statewide recognition for the success of the second annual <br />Lakewood Wine & Craft Beer Festival. <br />Section 2.
