RESOLUTION NO. 8859 -16 <br />BY: Anderson, Bullock, Litten, <br />Marx, Nowlin, O'Leary, O'Malley. <br />A RESOLUTION to honor the 2015 St. Edward High School Football Team for earning <br />the Division 1 State Championship. <br />WHEREAS, it has become common to refer to Lakewood's St. Edward High School as <br />the "Home of Champions" and <br />WHEREAS, commendation and recognition are due to all members of the St. Edward <br />Football Team for an entire season of outstanding athleticism culminating in a stunning win in <br />Columbus against Huber Heights in a 45 -35 victory at Ohio Stadium and <br />WHEREAS, the St. Edward High School Football Team ended the season with an <br />amazing 14 -1 record, and <br />WHEREAS, by this outstanding accomplishment, the St. Edward High School Football <br />Team has brought recognition and honor not only to themselves but to the entire Lakewood <br />community, and should be recognized in a proper and fitting manner; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1, On behalf of the residents of Lakewood, the Mayor and this Council we extend to the <br />Lakewood's St. Edward High School Football Team congratulations for its outstanding <br />achievements during the' 2015 high school football season. <br />Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be, and is hereby authorized to forward a certified copy of <br />this Resolution to Lakewood's St. Edward High School Eagles Football Team c/o Coach Tom <br />Lombardo; St. Edward High School, and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the <br />minutes of this meeting. <br />Adopted: kcv%. f, '2,11 '2-016 <br />Approved: a4lg <br />
