Below please find a set of criteria developed by tite administration and reviewed by the Finance Committee. It is recommended that <br />you evaluate your budget submission against these criteria and be sure that it meets at least one, if not several of the criteria on the list. <br />City of Lakewood Project -based Capital Investment Criteria <br />Cri terion A: <br />The project or policy is mandated by another government entity or <br />other legal requirement. <br />CriterianA -1: <br />11 <br />The project or policy meets a need or provides a service that is not <br />served by another government entity or that is traditionally served <br />by municipal governments. <br />Criterion B: <br />17 <br />The projector policy was started in a previous year. <br />Criterion C: <br />0 <br />The project or policy provides a important health and /or safety <br />benefit, and /or it creates a potential hazard or liability if not <br />corrected. <br />Criterion D: <br />fl <br />The project or policy is a necessary repair or replacement of existing <br />infrastructure orfacilities. <br />Criterion E: <br />'E <br />The project or polio cost will be offset by operating cost savings, <br />increased productivity, and /or increased revenues, orcreates a <br />cost /loss by not doing it since it will be preventative in nature. <br />Criterion F: <br />t.' <br />The project or policy should be used by or directly serve at least 33% <br />of residents. <br />Criterion G: <br />L <br />The project or policy advances community vision or objectives. <br />[Mote: Cite the specific planning objective, study /plan, or community <br />vision element that the Mayor and Council have identified as a <br />priority] <br />Criterion H: <br />C <br />The project or policy would have direct positive economic <br />development impacts, and is supported bythe business community <br />as a priority. <br />Criterion I: <br />2 <br />The availability of dedicated funds limited to this specific project. <br />Criterion 1: <br />This City has the financial capacity to sustain or maintain this policy <br />or project over the long term (e.g. 10 years or more). This policy or <br />project will not create an acute, unfunded financial burden on future <br />City budgets for maintenance or continuation of the policy or project <br />Criteria met from chart above: B, C, F, G (Lakewood Bicycle Master Plan), H, J <br />Criteria not met: A, A -1, D, E, I, <br />Thank you!
