ARTICLE 14 OVERTIME <br />14.01 All overtime must be approved by the Chief of Police or his designated representative <br />and all assigned overtime must be worked and will be compensated for as provided in this <br />Agreement. <br />14.02 Any hours of duty in excess of eight (8) hours within an employee's regularly scheduled <br />workday or 40 hours in single workweek (Sunday 12:01 a.m. through Saturday 12:00 a.m.) shall <br />be compensated at the following rates: <br />A. Time and one -half (1 -1/2) for all hours on duty in excess of eight (8) hours. <br />B. Double time for all hours on duty in excess of twelve (12) consecutive hours. <br />C. Double time for all hours on duty in excess of eight (8) on the following holidays: <br />New Year's Day Memorial Day <br />Independence Day Labor Day <br />Thanksgiving Day Christmas Day <br />Martin Luther King, Jr. Day President's Day <br />Veterans' Day Good Friday <br />D. Any employee scheduled off on any of the above listed ten (10) holidays, who is <br />compelled to work, shall be compensated at a rate of double time. <br />Any employee who is compelled to perform official overtime duty during <br />scheduled vacation shall be compensated at the rate of double time in accordance <br />with the provisions of this Article. <br />14.03 Employees required to work on the following days shall be paid at time and one -half <br />(1 -1/2). <br />New Year's Day <br />Martin Luther King, Jr. Day <br />President's Day <br />Good Friday <br />Memorial Day <br />0 <br />Independence Day <br />Veterans' Day <br />Thanksgiving Day <br />Christmas Day <br />Labor Day <br />
