Briefly explain how this will benefit the community: The City pools are heavily used by <br />residents of all ages and provide the only affordable swimming option for many families. <br />Making improvements to the user experience at our pools will increase use so that more residents <br />will be able to more frequently realize the social and health benefits of participating in physical <br />activity together. <br />3. This proposal comes from community input on the LECPTA and other Facebook <br />pages as well as face -to -face feedback from residents, as well as direct experience. <br />5. In <br />2016, Council used the Finance Committee budget priority process to express its support for <br />investments in chairs and shade at the pools.
