RESOLUTIONNO. g971 17 BY: Anderson, Bullock, Litten, Marx, Nowlin, O'Leary, O'Malley. A RESOLUTION to commend Ryan Nowlin for his public service as a member of Lakewood City Council. WHEREAS, Ryan Nowlin was unanimously appointed to the unexpired Council -at -Large seat in January, 2011, ran for that seat and won in 2012, ran and won for the seat again in 2014, serving consecutively in that capacity until December of 2017, elected by his colleagues in 2014 as Vice President of Council, and WHEREAS, during his terms on Council, Ryan Nowlin served ably and with distinction as Chair of the Public Safety Committee, Finance Committee, and Public Works Committee lending his legal acumen to the Rules and Ordinances Committee as a Committee member, and WHEREAS, throughout his tenure as Councilmember -at -large Mr. Nowlin enjoyed the respect and admiration of those he worked with and those who worked for him; known for his intellect, humility, kindness and commitment to the City he exemplified honor in public service, and WHEREAS, over his seven years as Council -at -Large Ryan Nowlin contributed his time, talents and loyalty to Lakewood culminating in the the revitalization of Lakewood's east and west ends as well as its downtown; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD STATE OF OHIO: Section 2. That this Council and Mayor wish to commend Ryan P. Nowlin for his dedicated service as Councilmember -at -Large in the City of Lakewood. Section 2. That the Clerk of Council be and his hereby authorized and directed to forward a certified copy of this Resolution to Ryan Nowlin and that a copy of this Resolution be spread upon the minutes of the meeting. Section 3.
