RESOLUTION NO. 9005-18 BY: Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader. A RESOLUTION to congratulate Mary T. Hagan on her retirement after thirty years of public service to the City of Lakewood in the City Council Office. WHEREAS, Clerk Hagan began her public service career in 1988 as Clerk Typist in the Council Office where her hard work and dedication were recognized and rewarded with several promotions culminating in her being appointed Clerk of Council; a position which she has capably held for nearly two decades; and, WHEREAS, during her years of service to the Council Office, Clerk Hagan has steadily guided the Council Office through many changes in administrations, technology, policies and practices, served dozens of Councilmembers, helped hundreds of residents, and professionally and represented the Council Office both inside and outside City Hall; and, WHEREAS, Clerk Hagan's service has been characterized by dedication, care for her community, the highest ethical standards and a very unique and much - appreciated brand of humor; and, WHEREAS, this Council, the administration and many members of the public will sorely miss the camaraderie, hard work, and years of institutional knowledge for which Clerk Hagan is known; now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That this Council recognizes and thanks Clerk Hagan for the extraordinary length and quality of commitment she has made to the City of Lakewood and the City Council Office over the course of her career. Section 2. That it is with bittersweet sentiments that we bid farewell to Clerk Hagan and wish her many relaxing years ahead unburdened by docket deadlines. Section 3. That the Clerk of Council be and is hereby authorized and directed to transmit this resolution to herself and that a copy of this resolution be spread upon the minutes of this meeting.
