Provide a narrative description of your idea in 250 words or less. Attach a separate sheet if necessary: <br />Designate of St. Charles Green a park. In doing so, the community has suggested modest improvements <br />including remediation of debris from former structures, more bench seating, walking path signage as well as <br />some opportunities for community art, gardens and /or preforming arts space. <br />2. Briefly explain how this will benefit the community: <br />Designating the six city owned parcels that constitutes the majority of St. Charles Green a park will ensure that <br />future development of the area will always leave this area as park space for residents and visitors to enjoy. Also, <br />removing construction materials left in the park from previous structure and /or dumping would help to ensure <br />the safety of those who use the space. <br />Make the space more suitable for use in downtown street events like the Lakewood Arts Festival, Summer <br />Meltdown, Light Up Lakewood as well as programed activities throughout the year. <br />017 Reso 9020 -18 -as substituted by Finance 10/1/18 <br />
