Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten <br />O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader <br />RESOLUTION NO. 9043-18 BY: <br />A RESOLUTION to recognize Miss Ruby McEwen for the talented writing, civic pride, <br />and heartfelt sentiments she displayed in her award - winning essay "Why I Love Lakewood." <br />WHEREAS, the Lakewood Chamber of Commerce sponsored an essay contest open to <br />all fourth graders in the City resulting in over 200 submissions, and; <br />WHEREAS, a panel of six judges assessed all submissions based on originality, <br />organization, descriptive language, and grammar, and; <br />WHEREAS, Ruby's essay beautifully expresses her awe and appreciation of Lakewood's <br />diverse population, century homes, and award - winning libraries, and; <br />WHEREAS, the panel of judges selected Ruby McEwen's essay as the best overall <br />submission, awarding her a cash prize and the opportunity to ride in the Light Up Lakewood <br />parade on December 1, 2018. Now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: <br />
