RESOLUTION NO. 9055 -19 I. Anderson, Bullock, Gentre, Litten, O'i -eary, O'Malley, Rader A RESOLUTION to recognize and thank Rick Sicha for the extraordinary length and quality of his service and leadership to the Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board since its inception in 1995. WHEREAS, the Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board was established by ordinance in 1995 for the purpose of educating and assisting residents, businesses, boards and commissions, departments and officials of the City of Lakewood regarding historic preservation; and WHEREAS, per Resolution 7069 -95, Mr. Sicha was appointed by Council to serve on the inaugural Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board on September 18, 1995; and WHEREAS, following the expiration of Mr. Sicha's four year term on the Board he expressed willingness and interest to continue his service in 1999, 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2014 and was appointed each time by Council to do so, totaling 24 years of service to the Board; and WHEREAS, during each year that he served, Mr. Sicha was elected by his colleagues on the Board to serve as Chairman; and WHEREAS, among its many achievements throughout the years, Mr. Sicha's leadership and tenure as Chairman led the way toward adoption of the City's historic preservation ordinance in 2009 and the initiation of the Annual Historic Preservation Awards program; an institution which has been going strong for 16 years; now, therefore BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That this Council and Administration does hereby thank Mr. Rick Sicha for the extraordinary length and quality of his service and leadership to the Lakewood Heritage Advisory Board since its inception in 1995. Section 2. That this Council and Administration does hereby express its well- wishes that Mr. Sicha experience an enjoyable retirement from official volunteer service with the City. Section 3. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compjiance with all legal requirements.
