Anderson, Bullock, George, Litten, O'Leary, O'Malley, Rader RESOLUTION NO. 9064 -19 BY: A RESOLUTION to recognize Lakewood High School senior Tyler Hannah for his talent and dedication to the sport of track and field, which have helped him earn the Division I Indoor state title in the 60 meter hurdles and place 13th in national competition. WHEREAS, Tyler accomplished his state title victory with a time of 7.96 seconds as the second seed in the race, beating the runner -up by a margin of .09 seconds; WHEREAS, the hard work and passion that Tyler brings to the sport of track and field earned him the opportunity to compete in the New Balance National Meet in New York City on March 9th of this year, where he placed 13`h in the country, proudly representing the Lakewood community and the state of Ohio; WHEREAS, Tyler has earned a full scholarship to Ashland University to further his academic and athletic careers. Now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF LAKEWOOD, OHIO: Section 1. That this Council does hereby recognize Tyler Hannah for the talent, skill, passion, and dedication that he brings to the sport of track and field which have earned him an indoor 60 meter hurdles state title and a placement of 13`h in nationals. Section 2. That this Council does hereby recognize the family, coaches, teammates and school community who have encouraged and supported Tyler both on and off the track. Section 3. That this Council does hereby express pride in having Tyler Hannah represent our City on the state and national levels of competition. We wish him rewarding, challenging, and fun experiences as he moves forward to compete and study on the collegiate level. Section 4. It is found and determined that all formal actions of this Council concerning and relating to the passage of this resolution were adopted in an open meeting of this Council, and that all such deliberations of this Council and any of its committees that resulted in such formal action, were in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all legal requirements.
